This is the first time I've had Somali food, but I must say I was really impressed. I'm not a red meat person but everything we had was great. Banana on rice was really confusing. I've never seen that combo before. Can't say I agreed with it, given I don't like to mix sweet with spicy food generally. But overall the food was definitely worth it. They only accept cash and there didn't appear to be a menu in sight. The atmosphere was really interesting. The waiting staff were so relaxed. It felt more like it was a large family and people just blended together really naturally. I personally found it really nice. A bit like Taste of Pakistan in Hounslow. It also seemed like everyone knew everyone which was nice. The Somali community is huge. But really good to see how they come together. I'm not Somalian myself but blended right in.
Tried Somali food for first time and it was one of the best meal I ever had. Rice were tasty , meat and chicken was so tender and nicely done... All sauces were on the spot... Loved it and service was amazing too...
This is the 3rd time coming here with a group of friends. We came as a group of 5. The food was splendid. Incredibly flavourful. Every bite was bursting with deliciousness. The green sauce on the side went really well together with the meal as well. What we had was Lamb Suqaar, chicken and rice which fed all of us. We only spent 50 for the food, and drinks for 5 people. Very affordable, delicious and good customer service. I would completely recommend to any and everyone in the area.
The food was so nice. I have not had East African food before, let alone Somali food, but this was really good. Food was hot and came quickly. The only downside was the restroom wasn’t positioned in an ideal place, it was small and a bit unkempt. The handwash basin was also outside of the toilet, in the main restaurant area. Otherwise, I’ll still come again but with an empty bladder lol
Delicious Somali food! My friend brought me here and it was the best restaurant meal I had during the trip. We had a soup, then a platter of chicken and beef served on perfectly cooked rice. Accompanied by salad and a super fresh and spicy sauce, let’s not forget the banana. We wanted to try also the date cake, but it wasn’t available anymore, lucky us I guess because we were already stuffed. Now I want to try their other dishes.
First time trying out Somali food and oh my goodness, what a brilliant selection of dishes I’ve been missing. Felt like home cooked food and really fresh. The place itself isn’t the most decorative but the food is absolute quality! The big sharing plates are amazing too, all part of the experience. If you’re not to fussed of fancy decor and nice chairs and want more quality food, I cannot recommend this place more!
Came here during one of the last few nights of Ramadan. Called the guys up before-hand and made sure there was space. “Yes come come come”, and they hung up. We walked in and weren’t sure what to order, the waiter said don’t worry about it and brought us this beast of a meal - juicy meat and tender chicken over fluffy rice. Extremely tasty, service was top notch, and it’s definitely a vibe if you’re wanting to try Somalian food.
Easily one of my favourite places to eat now. So authentic, no fuss, just delicious somali food. They were so quick with the service we were served within minutes of sitting down and they managed the post-Friday prayer rush so amazingly!! Can't wait to come again
